Note from McKenson M. Charles, Beacon Mortgage Company

Mac:

As for your desire and transition to be a loan officer, that is a job; although you must develop your business on your own, it is still a job for someone elses company. Am I correct or are you developing your own small loan company?

I help people who want to design a business that works for them. A business that can be duplicated over and over again and still perform as well as the first.
Some call this franchise modeling or business process consulting. This is the service I offer to the overall public. I also provide loss prevention consulting and hi-tech consulting services which are strickly biz to biz.

As for your need to 'best develop my clientele, build a rapport with the people I meet and do business with.' I suggest you read two small but powerful books that will help you:

I have bought both books. I have read the marketing superstar book and I am halfway through the red book on selling. They are quick reads and provide real advice I know you can benefit from.

As always, If you have specific questions about your business you want help with, call me or email me and I'll give you info or send you to where you can get it.

Thanks,
Bill

Bill,
I hear you,Ketler was very funny. He is a high energy kind of guy.

Well, here what I am curious about; I have been looking to be on my own, and developing my own business. Obviously as a loan officer you are responsible to make your business as successful as you choose to. I am currently transitioning into the field, and hoping to fully integrate by the end of winter. I am looking to learn on how to best develop my clientele, build a rapport with the people I meet and do business with. I do also work as a Software QA Engineer, and I have been in the field for about 14 years and I am ready to make the change. I have done some research, and decided as a people person I should work with other people. I am looking for the best approach to go about my business.

You mentioned that you will talking to C### Wi##### on Wednesday night, I do not remember him/her, but if it is possible and you feel this something I could benefit from, I would be more than happy to come.
